Amidst the COVID-19 travel restrictions, the founders of Feng Xiang Bak Kut Teh, hailing from Klang, Malaysia, yearned for the robust flavors of their hometown. They decided to bring their age-old family heritage recipes to Singapore, sharing the nutritious goodness of Klang's authentic, homely, and delicious dishes. Feng Xiang is your gateway to savoring these delightful Klang specialties, served with a lot of heart.

Feng Xiang's signature dish is its Herbal Bak Kut Teh, a symphony of sweet, earthy, and herbal notes harmoniously intertwined. The secret lies in a concoction of no less than 15 herbs and spices that simmer for a minimum of four hours to extract the essence of flavors. The pork ribs are lovingly soaked in this herbal elixir, rendering them fork-tender, with perfectly rendered fats enhancing their texture.

For an intriguing twist, don't miss the Dry Bak Kut Teh. Instead of the customary broth, this rendition delights in a rich, umami-laden sauce. Dried cuttlefish, dried chilies, ladyfingers, and dark soy sauce waltz in a wok to create a glossy, spicy sauce that coats every succulent pork rib. Its intense flavors, steeped in fragrant herbal, umami, and slightly spicy notes, make it a rice-stealing delight.

Adding to the culinary voyage is the beloved Pork Cutlet Fried Porridge, a Klang local favorite. This simple yet satisfying dish features porridge adorned with shallots, spring onions, and delectable pieces of pork cutlet. Simmered in a special broth and then wok-fried to capture the coveted 'wokhei' flavor, this porridge boasts a thick consistency with distinct rice grains, creating a delightful mouthfeel. The Pork Cutlet, marinated to perfection, offers a satisfying crunch with every bite.

Come and savor the flavors of heritage and home at Feng Xiang Bak Kut Teh.
